Our newest addition

Introducing Ruby, our 12 week old little white fluff ball.

She loves to play! She can run faster than anyone in the family. She can't even keep up with her own speedy little legs. She usually ends up doing a somersault. She's so little and light, only about 4 pounds.  She nibbles toes, she chews shoes, and she drags everything from dish towels to bras around the house. She is a Havanese, which are very social, affectionate dogs. That also means she wants to be with us ALL the time. She cries in her kennel but hasn't ended up in our bed at night. YEAH! My friend, Kath, has a new pup and warned us about that. She loves to be wrapped in a blanket and snuggled on the couch. It has forced me to stay home and slow down just a bit.

My kids are completely in LOVE!

OOoooooh. My girls will be so jealous when they see this. That puppy is just what they want. Darn. It's too bad you got it already. I guess we're out of luck.

She is adorable! I am so glad that you caved!! There really isn't anyting cuter than seeing your children LOVE their pet! True, it is like another child and the accidents on your carpet make you crazy! But she's so cute--you can't stay mad at her for long! Good luck with the training. And let me know how ragnar goes-good luck!

Very very cute little dog! Man I gave in to the dog thing also a few times. But now we have two little dogs, yes two. No not by my choice but I will have to admit that now I wouldn't give either of them up. We've had one about 6 months and the other about 2 years. That is by far the longest we've ever kept a dog before now and trust me we've had several over the years!

Enjoy your new family member!

I just showed Emily the picture of Ruby and told her the name. She said "I can easily remember that because of Max and Ruby". Then I remembered my sis-in-law that got a havenese in Tucson named him Max. So there you are..2 havenese named Max and Ruby. so funny..(do you know the show I'm talking about?)

You are a better mom than me. My kids wish I would cave, but no way. Not now. It sure is a cute puppy though. Have fun with it!! I will let my kids see your pictures and live vicariously through you.

Awwwwwww!

They're so much work but so worth it. When I first bought Ellie, I lived alone and had to have my mom stop by to feed her while I was at work so her blood sugar wouldn't drop because she was so tiny. I know what you mean! Did you buy Ruby online? Did they send her via airplane?

If you need groomer advice, I can help. I think I've tried close to 10 of them in AZ so I can point you in the right direction.

Anyway, Jim said Travis sent him a text. Can you send me your E-Mail address again so I can add you? I lost the one Jim gave me. We're talking about deleting the blog anyway. Bleh.

Andrea, how adorable! She is so cute! We have a Maltese that looks very similar to your cute little one - all white. Aren't they cute. I could live with out the peeing and pooping in the house though.

Andrea, My Mom had a Havaneese that now keeps Dad company. They are wonderful pets and very loyal and loving. Congratulations on the perfect addition to your family!

I love the new dog! That's one dog I don't think my girls will be scared of. She is so cute and a perfect family dog. By the way the cookies turned out great. Of course they weren't as good as yours, I guess I just need to practice more. Thanks again for the pics. Everyone comments on how cute they are.
